I love spring. After months of grey skies and barren landscapes, trees erupt with blossom and nature with new life. Even in the toughest times, it’s possible to look at these beautiful displays and feel hope. It’s a promise of warmer days, happier times, that we’ll be together again.
A blank page is much like an empty landscape. As long as it is untouched, winter remains. It may seem that beauty is not possible, that words may never come. But, when you have the courage to fill a page with words, good or bad, there is a promise of greatness.
Have faith in what you write, however rough at first. Words will always need work for their full beauty to emerge but, like a tree, roots are required for growth to begin. The joy is in nurturing these words, being the one to make them blossom into something special.
Whenever you doubt your writing, take a look at nature and remember, anything can happen when you sow a seed. Just keep watering it.
Is it winter or spring in your writing world at the moment?
